Dear Mead High School Community,
This week was another spirited week as our students and staff participated in many activities designed to support the Make A Wish Foundation. So far our students have raised over $14,000 to support a local student in making their wish come true. I am proud of our Student Council for organizing the many events and fundraisers to make this happen. We held our all-school assembly today with the help of the Make A Wish Foundation and were able to celebrate our students’ efforts. Their culminating event will be our Snowcoming Dance that will take place on Saturday night from 7 – 10:00pm.
I want to congratulate our boys and girls wrestling teams on another successful season. We sent 12 wrestlers to the state championships last week. Congrats to Leister Bowling on his second state championships. Grant Gordon, Willie Eilers, and Renee Hudson all placed 2nd. Carter Woods earned 3rd. Way to go Mavs!
Boys and Girls basketball finish their regular season tonight against Holy Family. Both teams will be competing in the playoffs later next week.
As we move into next week, Monday is the first day for spring sports. If you know of anyone interested in track and field, girls lacrosse, girls soccer, baseball, and girls tennis, be sure to get them signed up by Monday. Signups occur through RevTrack. We also have our next round of concerts coming up with band next week and choir and orchestra the following week.
#WeAreMead
Sincerely,
Brian Young
