Principal’s Update

Mead High School Graduates Lining up to receive their diplomas

Dear MHS Community,

We are proud to continue celebrating the many ways our students represent Mead High School with excellence both on and off campus. This week has been filled with meaningful performances, competitions, and opportunities for our students to shine.

Performing Arts

On Monday evening, forty five Mead High School students participated in the St. Vrain Honor Choir Concert. We are incredibly proud of these students for representing MHS at such a high level.

Looking ahead, six MHS students will perform next Wednesday evening in the St. Vrain Honor Band Concert at Longmont High School. In addition, several of our students will participate in All-State Orchestra Thursday through Saturday. Congratulations to all of our student musicians for their hard work and dedication.

Athletics

  • Boys & Girls Basketball are on the road at Fairview (Boulder) on Tuesday, February 3rd, and host Skyline at home on Friday, February 6th.
  • Varsity & JV Boys Wrestling compete at Centaurus on Thursday, February 5th.
  • JV Boys Wrestling competes at Holy Family on Saturday, February 7th.
  • Unified Basketball competes in Regionals at UNC on Friday, February 6th.
  • D-Team Boys Basketball hosts Centaurus and Niwot on Saturday, February 7th.

Best of luck to all of our student-athletes and thank you to our coaches and families for their continued support.

Looking Ahead

Testing: On Wednesday, February 11th, 9th- and 10th-graders will take the PSAT, while 11th-graders will take the NMSQT. Buses will leave at 11:00 a.m. (regular testing time) and 12:00 p.m. (extended time). Seniors have an asynchronous learning day on February 11th (check Schoology).

No School: There will be no school on Friday, February 13th, and Monday, February 16th.

Late Start Wednesday: February 4th is a Late Start with a 10:15 school start.
