Registration Process and Dates

REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR CURRENT MEAD HS STUDENTS - Current 9th, 10th and 11th graders

  • Read the Mead HS Course Description Book
  • January 13 - Junior Registration Presentation (10:27am) - A2/B6 teachers will release all juniors at 10:27am to attend the Junior Registration Presentation in the auditorium.  The registration process wil be presented in detail by counselors.  Registration materials will be distributed to students.  Students with a Time Release, CDC or Innovation Center class during A2/B6 are expected to attend this presentation.  MHS will communicate with CDC and Innovation Center to excuse your absence from classs for this presentation.
  • January 14 - Sophomore Registration Presentation (10:27am) - A2/B6 teachers will release all sophomores at 10:27am to attend the Sophomore Registration Presentation in the auditorium.  The registration process wil be presented in detail by counselors.  Registration materials will be distributed to students.  Students with a CDC or Innovation Center class during A2/B6 are expected to attend this presentation.  MHS will communicate with CDC and Innovation Center to excuse your absence from classs for this presentation.
  • January 15 - Freshman Registration Presentation (10:27am) - A2/B6 teachers will release all freshmen at 10:27am to attend the Freshman Registration Presentation in the auditorium.  The registration process wil be presented in detail by counselors.  Registration materials will be distributed to students.  Students with a CDC or Innovation Center class during A2/B6 are expected to attend this presentation.  MHS will communicate with CDC and Innovation Center to excuse your absence from classs for this presentation.
  • January 15 Curriculum and Activities Fair (all current and future students) 6:30-8:00pm - Students and parents are strongly encouraged to attend our Curriculum and Activities Fair.  Teachers, club advisors, coaches, counselors and administrators will be available to answer questions about classes, programs, clubs and sports. Representatives from CDC, Innovation Center, P-Teach, Front Range Community College and Aims Community College will be available to meet with students and parents about class offerings for next year.
  • January 16, 17, 21 - Students will have time during MAV20 to complete their review their transcript, complete their registration forms, enter the courses in Infinite Campus and complete thier Acacemic Planning Worksheet (ICAP).  MAV20 Teachers will assist students with this step and verify all registration steps have been completed by January 21st.  While this is a time for students to work on registration at school, we also expect students to work closely with their parents when making course selections.
  • January 21-February 4  - Counselors will meet individually with each student (Registration Interview Session) to collect registration forms, review course requests in Infinite Campus and answer questions about course selection, graduation, ICAP and post-secondary planning. 

REGISTRATION INTERVIEW SESSIONS

  • January 21, 22, 23, 24 - Junior Registration Interview Sessions with their counselor through English 11 and AP English Lang & Comp classes
  • January 23, 24, 27, 28, 29 - Sophomore Registration Interview Sessions with their counselor through US History classes
  • january 29, 30, 31, February 3, 4 - Freshman Registration Interview Sessions with their counselor through Biology classes

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION PROCESS - Current 8th graders or new students to Mead High School

  • January 14 - Counselors will visit feeder middle schools to meet with current 8th graders.  Counselors will present the registration process, outline academic planning, explain ICAP requirements, review graduation requirements, discuss college admission guidelines and distribute registration materials to students.
    • Mead Middle School – 7:50am
    • Imagine Charter School – 10:00am
    • Coal Ridge Middle School – 1:00pm
  • January 15 New Student Registration Night (current 8th graders and new students) 6:00pm - All future Mead High School students and their parents are invited to attend our Registration Presentation from 6:00-6:30pm in the Mead HS Auditorium.  All parents are strongly encouraged to attend this event. This presentation will include details about the registration process, our Energy Academy, Concurrent Enrollment and the AP Capstone Diploma Program.  Teachers and counselors will also be available this evening to answer questions about AP classes, Honors classes, academic planning, graduation requirements, ICAP details, CDC programs, Innovation Center and college admission preparation.  Extra forms will be available for new students who don't attend one of our feeder middle schools.
  • January 15 Curriculum and Activities Fair (all current and future students) 6:30-8:00pm - Students and parents are strongly encouraged to attend our Curriculum and Activities Fair immediately following the Registration Presentation.  Teachers, club advisors, coaches, counselors and administrators will be available to answer questions about classes, programs, clubs and sports.
  • January 24 - Deadline to submit your completed registration form to your middle school counselor (MMS & CRMS) or the Mead HS Counseling Office.  This is also the deadline to submit student course requests in Infinite Campus (current SVVSD students only).

  • CDC and the Innovation Center will notify counselors which students have been accepted in Febraury.  Counselors will meet with those students selected to adjust their course requests.
  • Students requesting a Concurrent Enrollment class will need to complete the enrollment process for these classes. Counselors will meet with students who request Concurrent Enrollment classes to explain the enrollment process.
  • Counselors will choose classes for all students who fail to submit registration materials. 
  • Finalized 2020-2021 schedules will be available on Infinite Campus at a date still to be determine in May.
