Registration Process and Dates

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION PROCESS - Current 8th graders or new students to Mead High School

  • December 17 - Deadline to submit an Open Enrollment application (for students living outside the Mead HS attendance area)
  • Students interested in taking CDC or Innovation Center classes next year must complete a separate application now to request these classes. The online application can be found by logging in to your RevTrak account.  If you're currently not attending a SVVSD school, then you'll need to contact Becky Olsen (olsen_becky@svvsd.org or 303-772-3333) to create a RevTrack account.
  • January 15 - Counselors will visit feeder middle schools to meet with current 8th graders.  Counselors will present the registration process, outline academic planning, explain ICAP requirements, review graduation requirements, discuss college admission guidelines and distribute registration materials to students.
    • Mead Middle School – 7:50am
    • Imagine Charter School – 9:30am
    • Coal Ridge Middle School – 1:00pm
  • January 17 - New Student Registration Night (current 8th graders and new students) 6:00pm - All future Mead High School students and their parents are invited to attend our Registration Presentation from 6:00-6:30pm in the Mead HS Auditorium.  All parents are strongly encouraged to attend this event. This presentation will include details about the registration process, our Energy Academy, Concurrent Enrollment and the AP Capstone Diploma Program.  Teachers and counselors will also be available this evening to answer questions about AP classes, academic planning, graduation requirements, ICAP details, CDC programs, Innovation Center and college admission preparation.  Extra forms will be available for new students who don't attend one of our feeder middle schools.
  • January 17 - Registration Fair (all current and future students) 6:30-8:00pm - Students and parents are strongly encouraged to attend our Registration Fair immediately following the Registration Presentation.  Teachers, club advisors, coaches, counselors and administrators will be available to answer questions about classes, programs, clubs and sports.
  • January 17 - 22 - Students need to complete their registration form and enter their course requests online using Infinite Campus.
  • January 22 - Deadline to submit your completed registration form to your middle school counselor (MMS & CRMS) or the Mead HS Counseling Office.  Deadline to submit your course requests in Infinite Campus.

REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR CURRENT MEAD HS STUDENTS - Current 9th, 10th and 11th graders

  • Students interested in taking CDC or Innovation Center classes next year must complete a separate application now to request these classes. The online application can be found by logging in to your RevTrak account.  If you're currently not attending a SVVSD school, then you'll need to contact Becky Olsen (olsen_becky@svvsd.org or 303-772-3333) to create a RevTrack account.
  • January 15 & 16 - Each teacher will spend time during every class on these two days talking to students about class suggestions and recommendations.
  • January 17 - Student Registration Begins (MAV30)  Counselors will distribute registration forms and present important information on the registration process, class selection, academic planning, graduation requirements, ICAP details, CDC programs, Innovation Center, P-Teach, Concurrent Enrollment and college admission preparation.
  • January 17 Registration Fair (all current and future students) 6:30-8:00pm - Students and parents are strongly encouraged to attend our Registration Fair.  Teachers, club advisors, coaches, counselors and administrators will be available to answer questions about classes, programs, clubs and sports. Representatives from CDC, Innovation Center, P-Teach, Front Range Community College and Aims Community College will be available to meet with students and parents about class offerings for next year.
  • January 18 - Students will have time during MAV30 to complete their Registration Form.  MAV30 Teachers will assist students with this step.
  • January 22 - Students will have time during MAV30 to complete their Online Registration using Infinite Campus. MAV30 Teachers will assist students with this step.
  • January 23-February 12  - Counselors will meet individually with each student (Counselor Interview Session) to collect registration forms, review course requests in Infinite Campus and answer questions about course selection graduation, ICAP and post-secondary planning. 

COUNSELOR INTERVIEW SESSIONS

  • January 23, 24, 25 - Junior Counselor Interview Sessions with their counselor through US Government classes
  • January 24, 28, 29, 30, 31, Feb 1 - Sophomore Counselor Interview Sessions with their counselor through English 10 classes
  • January 28, 30, February 1, 4, 5, 12 - Freshman Counselor Interview Sessions with their counselor through Biology classes

  • CDC and the Innovation Center will notify counselors which students have been accepted in late Febraury.  Counselors will meet with those students selected to adjust their course requests.
  • Students requesting a Concurrent Enrollment class will need to complete the enrollment process for these classes in March. Counselors will meet with students who request Concurrent Enrollment classes to explain the enrollment process.
  • Counselors will choose classes for all students who fail to submit registration materials. Schedule change requests will NOT be considered for these students.
  • Finalized 2019-2020 schedules will be available on Infinite Campus during the week of May 16.
