Dear Mead High School Community,
It is an absolute honor to join Mead High School as your new principal. I want to begin by expressing my sincere gratitude to outgoing principal Dr. Brian Young for his outstanding leadership and his dedication to ensuring a smooth and thoughtful transition. His deep commitment to students, staff, and the entire community is clearly reflected in the strong foundation he has helped build.
I join Mead High School with 16 years of experience teaching, coaching, and leading in the Pikes Peak Region, most recently serving as principal of Manitou Springs Middle School for the past five years. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Oregon, a master’s degree in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from Colorado State University Pueblo, and a principal license from Western Colorado University. My passions are school leadership and building positive, inclusive school cultures where every student can thrive. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors with my wife and two children, reading, fishing, running, and following our Colorado sports teams.
I am thrilled to be joining a school that takes such pride in its students, programs, and traditions. I look forward to working alongside our talented staff and supportive families to continue that tradition of excellence. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions, ideas, or celebrations.
