May 29th, 2026

Dear MHS Community,

This past weekend, we celebrated the graduation of the Mead High School Class of 2026. It was a meaningful day for our entire school community and a fitting conclusion to a tremendous school year.

As I reflect on the Class of 2026 I am filled with gratitude and pride. From the very first day of school at Senior Sunrise to graduation morning, this class consistently demonstrated positivity, kindness, leadership, and respect. They set the tone for our school culture and represented the Maverick Way in classrooms, activities, athletics, the arts, and throughout the community.

The accomplishments of the Class of 2026 are remarkable:

  • 1,119 college credits earned through concurrent enrollment coursework
  • Over $2,043,000 in scholarships earned
  • Record participation numbers in band, orchestra, choir, and theatre
  • 4,512 volunteer hours completed by National Honor Society seniors
  • More than 5,425 pounds of food collected through service efforts
  • One state championship, 15 team state appearances, and numerous league and regional athletic accomplishments

Most importantly, this class leaves behind a legacy of strong character and pride in Mead High School.

Performing Arts
This year was an incredible one for our performing arts programs. Our students showcased tremendous talent, creativity, and dedication through concerts, performances, and productions throughout the school year. Thank you to all of our students, directors, staff members, and families who supported the arts at MHS this year.

Athletics & Activities
Our student-athletes and activity participants represented Mead High School with pride throughout the year. From league championships and playoff appearances to state qualifiers and championship performances, our students competed with outstanding effort and sportsmanship. We are proud of all they accomplished both on and off the field.

Looking Ahead
I know Mead High School is in outstanding hands as Lindsay LaPorte takes over as principal for the 2026-2027 school year. Mrs. LaPorte cares deeply about students and will continue building on the strong traditions and culture that make Mead High School such a special place.

Thank you again for an incredible year.
