Ty Tatham received his bachelor’s degree from Western State College in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports and Health sciences and a minor in Biology in 1987. In 1989 he added his teaching license in Physical Education from Western State College.  He is a graduate of the University of New Mexico where he earned a Master of Science in 1992 in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports Administration.

He began his teaching career as a Science teacher at Sandia High School in Albuquerque, N.M. in 1992. He has been in the St. Vrain district since 1994, teaching Physical Education and Science at Longmont High School before coming to Mead High School in 2009.  He is also the Head Wrestling coach.

Mr. Tatham is married to Jennifer who teaches Elementary Physical Education in SVVSD.  He has three children.
