Steve Parsons

  • University of Florida
  • Millersville University

Although Mr. Parsons grew up surfing the beaches of the Florida Gulf Coast and spent six years in Amish country, Pennsylvania, he is fully transitioned to and in love with the mountains of Colorado! He is so excited to be teaching at Mead High School!

Teaching is a second career for Mr. Parsons; it took him awhile to finally pursue his dream of teaching. He got his first bachelor's degree in religion with a minor in philosophy from the University of Florida (GO GATORS!) and proceeded to work a variety of unfulfilling jobs until deciding to take the plunge into education. He obtained a bachelor's in secondary education with a focus on English from Millersville University in Pennsylvania and hasn't looked back! Shortly thereafter he moved to Longmont and was certified to teach social studies as well, and for the time being has switched to that department full-time.

He is married to his  beautiful wife, Suzi, and they have three wonderful kids: Amelia, Asher and Atticus. They love getting outside as much as possible and exploring the mountains, whether it's hiking, biking, or snowboarding. Mr. Parsons also loves reading, discussing film, discovering new music, and general tomfoolery. Mr. Parsons is overjoyed to be a part of such a great staff!
