When is the first day of school?

August 13 – 9th grade and New Students to the building

August 14 – 10th, 11th and 12th grade

What time does school start?

The new start time at Mead High School is 7:45am.  School day ends at 2:45pm.

When and where do I get my iPad?

August 13 – Freshman iPad Distribution – Three different time slots are available to choose from:  3:00-4:30pm; 4:30-6:00pm; 6:00-7:30pm

Parents should attend with their student.  At this time, you will receive a packet containing the MHS iPad Oath, the Parent/Student Agreement, Secondary Student Agreement, iPad Insurance Information and the Parent/Student Agreement Signature page (to be signed by student and parent).  You will be able to purchase your iPad insurance that evening or in advance by clicking here.

Upper classmen will receive their iPad on August 15 during Mav20.

When and where do I get my class schedule?

Schedules, which were finalized at the end of last school year, may be found on Infinite Campus.

What do I need to bring on the first day of school?

Students should come prepared with a pen/pencil and paper (ie: notepad, planner, spiral notebook).  Teachers will let students know what they will need for class.

What does each day look like?

Mead High School operates an A/B class schedule, which alternates 4 core classes per day.  Click here for the calendar.  In addition, all students are assigned to a Mav20 class.  This is a daily class and is similar to a “home room”.  Attendance is expected.

When is Back2School Night?

I want to do sports/activities/clubs.  How can I get information?

The best way is to check MHS Athletics.  You should also plan to attend the MHS Athletics and Activities Fair on August 23, 2019 from 7:00-8:30pm.  Booths will be set up for you to get information, sign up, etc.

How do I get an activity pass?

Activity passes are purchased online through RevTrak.  If you purchase a Family Pass, each member will receive their own pass and is required to have it with them to enter events (there will NOT be a gate list).

When are school pictures?  How do I get my student ID?  

Picture Day - 9th & 10th grade is August 21.  11th & 12th grade is August 22.  Student ID’s will be given at this time.  Make-up day is October 10. 

Please remember that students are required to have their ID with them at all times!  If you lose yours, please see Ms. Sexton in the office for a new one.  There is a $5 replacement charge.

How do I get a parking permit?

Parking permits are available through the front office.   You must have the form filled out in its’ entirety, including insurance information and parent signature.  Cost is $5.  The sticker should be placed in the front windshield, driver’s side, lower corner. 

How do I find out the bus schedule?

Bus numbers, times and locations can be found on Infinite Campus.  If you have questions, please contact the SVVSD Transportation office at 303-682-7253.

How do I get a locker?

Lockers are pre-assigned to 9th graders only.  Locker number and combination are found on Infinite Campus.  If you are an upper classman and you would like one, please see Ms. Sexton or Mrs. Felton in the office.

How do I make sure not to miss anything important happening at Mead High School?

The MHS website is the best way to get information, but you can also expect to receive the following communication:

Monday – Email with announcements for the week        Thursday – Mrs. Ayers’ Newsletter

The marquee in front of MHS is updated on Mondays with the week’s events.

Schoology is the tool used by teachers to communicate assignments and information with students.  If you need a login to the parent portal, please contact Ms. Sexton or Mrs. Felton in the office.

Naviance is the tool used by counselors to communicate information about graduation, testing, scholarships and college/career planning.
