World Geography/History

This is a course that incorporates the standards for World Geography and parallels English 9. Class activities include: exploring timeless issues through literature with fiction works. Students will explore democracy, dictatorships, and other governmental systems. Products from this class will include essays, creating newspapers and films, conducting Socratic Seminars, and writing research papers. You will develop research skills, critical thinking skills, and reading and writing skills needed to take Honors courses in either Social Studies or English.
