Through student input, St. Vrain adopts financial literacy into graduation requirements

In this era of credit cards, PayPal, online shopping, and sophisticated marketing, many parents feel challenged to instill a sense of financial responsibility in their teens.
However, it was not parents, teachers, administrators or school board members – but last year’s Student Advisory Council (SAC) which was the driving force behind the district’s new Financial Literacy requirement.

Boys Basketball Advances to Sweet Sixteen

Congratulations to the Mead Men’s basketball team on their win against Skyview High School on Saturday night.  Mead advances to the Sweet Sixteen, and they will travel to Northridge High School on Wednesday night at 6:30 pm to face the Grizzlies.  We would love to pack the gym in support of our Mavericks.  See you on the court!

How to Practice for the SAT

On April 11, 2017, all sophomores and juniors in Colorado will be taking the PSAT 10 and SAT at their home schools. The good news? It’s free! AND you don’t have to do a thing to register. But wait … there’s more! Millions of dollars in scholarships (yes, millions…) are tied to both assessments, so even if you’re not 100% sure about your after-high-school plans, still use this time to prepare just in case - they’re there anyways, might as well get the most you can out of it!
