The packet will be available in the library only after iPads and accessories have been checked in. Seniors are required to complete the packet, submit senior survey and pay fees/fines prior to receiving graduation regalia. Seniors return you completed form to Andi in Counseling by 2:30, Friday May 17th.
Seniors email pictures in a .jpg format to firstname.lastname@example.org - by April 28th. Photos submitted in any other format or without a proper name will not be used in the slide show. Please submit your formal senior picture and baby picture for the slide show. Please make sure that the photos are labeled with the senior's full name only, i.e. doe-jane.jpg (not the camera doc number or any other designation). Group photos may also be emailed but are NOT guaranteed to be included in the slide show.
Caps and gowns will be distributed between 9:30 - 10:00. Graduates will then board buses to celebrate their graduation at Mead Middle, Mead Elementary and Coal Ridge Middle Schools. Seniors will wear their cap & gown at this time. Graduation practice will begin at 11:15 am, upon completion seniors are invited to the first annual Senior Barbeque. Food, drinks and games will be provided in the grassy area in front of the portables. We are excited to welcome this new tradition as a way to celebrate our graduates, allow the seniors a time to say goodbye to old friends, and allow teachers the opportunity to congratulate students they've come to know.
Due to limited parking at Mead High School, we require all graduates to meet at Mead Middle School to ride a bus to MHS. Buses will shuttle back and forth from the middle to the high school starting at 8:45 am. Buses will also be available for families between 9:45 - 11:00 to shuttle to MHS. We encourage 3 parents to utilize this service or to carpool, if possible. Handicapped parking will be available at the back of the school. Persons needing such parking must enter at the northern most entrance of the school and request parking from the attendant who will be directing traffic.
As a special service for seniors and parents, Studio 5 will take two graduation photos
Ordering information will be provided. MHS is not responsible for the distribution and/or quality of the photos.
In the event of inclement weather, graduation will be moved to the main gym. Due to limited space in the main gym, all attendees will be required to have a ticket for admittance. Each graduate will receive only 4 tickets for family members if the ceremony moves to the gymnasium. In order to allow family members/friends to observe graduation, the ceremony will be broadcast in the auditorium. Tickets will not be required for seating in the auditorium, but seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. In the case of inclement weather, the decision will be made to hold the ceremony indoors by 8:00 a.m. The message will be sent using Infinite Campus and social media outlets. Please be sure Infinite Campus is up to date with current phone numbers.
